Disney’s Martial Arts Festival 2007 LIVE, Part III!

Today we’re seeing lots of creative weapons competitions – martial dancing (with weapons) to loud, thumping music. It feels much like a gymnastics competition — acrobatics on mats, competitors crossing and recrossing the theatrical space, gesturing towards the judges, earning raised black and white score cards (Olympics-style) immediately after their routines are completed.

There are about ten times as many spectators as there were yesterday, and a huge group is blocking our precious view of the main floor. Tonight there will be a showcase on the main stage that’s promised to be beautiful and really impressive. We can’t wait! The sponsor event last night was amazing, and our favorite author, Pete Starr, made it twice as good. He really is our star author!
