We’re very happy to announce that Blue Snake Books is joining forces with Disney’s Wide World of Sports as an event sponsor for the 2007 Disney’s Martial Arts Festival. The event takes place at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex located at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida from October 26-28, 2007.

With over 1,000 coaches and competitors, the eighth annual event includes competition in numerous martial arts disciplines, such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, taiji, as well as Japanese and Okinawan classical karate.

“This is really a fruition of our goal to bring the philosophy, internal aspects, and multicultural range of martial arts into the mainstream, and we are honored to be part of such a high-principled event,” says Blue Snake Books and North Atlantic Books founder Richard Grossinger.

“We are delighted to add Blue Snake Books to our wonderful group of event sponsors. It is our purpose to provide a great sports and vacation experience for our athletes, coaches and family members, said Fred Schoeler, sports area manager for Disney Sports Attractions. “The support we receive from the event sponsors like Blue Snake Books allows us to enhance the guest experience. It is an even bigger thrill when our sponsors have a deep rooted passion for Martial Arts and get involved in sharing our vision.”

Blue Snake Books, launched in 2006, is a dedicated martial arts imprint of North Atlantic Books and it publishes an extensive list of distinguished authors who are experts in their fields. Publishing books on all forms of martial arts, from muay thai to krav maga, ba gua zhang to capoeira, Blue Snake Books draws on a 25-year history publishing martial arts titles under the North Atlantic Books and Frog, Ltd. imprints.
