Find Bruce Lee in a Love Motel

August 4, 2009

Situated in the suburb of Kowloon in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee’s last home before his death has offered little homage to its heritage until recently. Currently operating as a love motel for couples with rooms for rent by the hour, the star’s home has been commissioned by Hong Kong authorities to become what Lee’s fans feel is a long-overdue museum of his life and contributions to martial arts.

While Hong Kong officials have yet to set an opening date for the museum, Lee’s influence on martial arts theories and practices of past and present is prevalent in several of Blue Snake’s books, including Brian Preston’s travelogue Me, Chi, and Bruce Lee. Preston’s book crosses continents from Victoria, Canada, to the Shaolin Temple and Wudang Mountain in China, with an entertaining look at his personal journey as he learns to incorporate the philosophies and practices of martial arts into his every day life.

Preston’s book is available as both an eBook and paperback form on the Blue Snake Books official website.
