Martial Arts Master Allen Pittman Lecture & Seminar – TONIGHT!

August 7, 2009

Allen Pittman began his training in Eastern martial arts at the age of 12, and has put his mastering to use as the bodyguard for such notable figures as the Dalai Lama. He has authored several books on the subject of martial arts, including Chinese Internal Boxing: Techniques of Hsing-I & Pa-kua; Pa-Kua: Eight-Trigram Boxing; and Hsing-I: Chinese Internal Boxing.

His latest book, Walking the I Ching, discusses ba gua zhang, an internal martial art used in training the mind, body, and spirit, and the eight parts of the I Ching wisdom, each representing a different elemental manifestation and martial arts principle. With step-by-step illustrations and photographs throughout, the book helps students easily understand and use the guide to achieve their own sense of centeredness in all aspects of life.

Residing in Brittany, France, Pittman’s visit to the US to share his scholarly perspective on the role of martial arts in 2012 is a great treat, and we’re delighted that he has made his way to California!
