Bay Area Martial Arts Events This July

This July, the bay area is bringing you a wide variety of different martial arts events, retreats, tournaments, and camps for the summer.  If you or your children are looking for a physically and mentally stimulating activity this summer, check out some of the events taking place near you.

Yuan Tze Qifield

During these events, Yuan Tze will be building a powerful Qifield. The strong Qi and positive information in the Qifield can bring about beneficial changes on all levels for participants on all levels, including the body, Qi and mind.

Northern California Open: Year of the Tiger

Welcome to 2010’s Northern California Open: Year of the Tiger!  On July 24th at the Alameda Country Fairgrounds, there will be a day of fun, excitement, and top-notch competition!  What sets the NCO apart from the rest is that this will be an all-inclusive event!  There will be something for competitors and spectators of ALL martial arts backgrounds including but not limited to knife-point fighting, 3-person team sparring, demonstrations teams, and lots more!

Tandez Academy of Martial Arts: Junior Dragons

Childrens Event

The Junior Dragons are group classes designed for children and youth. The objective of the Dragons is to train these young martial artists in the systems of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Kali. The focus is on realistic self-defense and functional martial arts applications for the real world. The training includes Self-Preservation and Self-Perfection (Attribute Development). Our young martial artists will be taught to develop their mental qualities, such as focus, discipline, respect, and self-control, as well as their physical qualities, such as balance, coordination, stamina, and strength. Students will develop self-confidence and inner emotional strength.

BJJ Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament for all different ages.  Come test your grappling abilities during this two day event and compete for your belt division. Ranging from ages 6 and up, all are welcome to come and watch or compete.
